Concrete Finishes
ARS is a preferred installer for Miracote Advanced Floor & Waterproofing Systems, Westcoat Specialty Coating Systems and MAPEI Products. ARS is also currently working with Bominite to become a licensed installer for their architectural concrete systems. ARS applicators are highly skilled and are specially trained in innovative concrete design systems. Our decorative concrete clients include Bass Pro Shop, World Market, The Shops at La Cantera, JW Marriot PGA Resort, CVS Pharmacy and many other businesses, in addition to countless satisfied homeowners.
Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete is a cast-in-place concrete flooring that adds a distinctive architectural look to any project while maintaining the durability of plain concrete. ARS offers architects, builders, designers and homeowners an endless palette of colors, textures and patterns. Stamped concrete is often used to simulate real stone or brick. Stamped concrete patterns are created using at least two colors to give it the depth and variance found in real stone. The integral color is the base color in the concrete and the colored release acts as an accent color. Please review our available colors and patterns. Remember, the colors can be mixed at different ratios so the color choices are endless. ARS stamps concrete for a variety of commercial, municipal, and residential applications when our clients want to upgrade plain concrete or want to avoid the high cost of installing natural stone. Custom Finishes
ARS can add a custom look to your fresh-pour concrete with a broom finish, swirl finish, smooth or hard trowel finish or with an exposed aggregate finish. Special layout and saw cuts can also be used in custom finishes. Integral colors, color hardeners, reactive and non-reactive stains can be used to enhance the final look of your custom finish.
Polished Concrete
Polished concrete is a great choice for high-traffic areas, and it requires little maintenance. Polished floors are durable, non-slip, repel water and oils and never require re-coating or waxing again. All types of concrete can be polished, and a variety of dyes and stains can be used to enhance the look of the polished concrete floor.
Sandcape Texture
Sandscape texture is a cast-in-place concrete finish with dozens of color options. The hallmark of this finish is its remarkable and consistent texture. The process used to create this texture removes the surface of the concrete, revealing the fine sand surface underneath. This creates an exotic appearance and durable finish.
Concrete Overlays
Micro-topping
Micro-topping/overlay is a process in which a thin layer of concrete is applied to a surface to create a new canvas for design. It can be applied to interior or exterior surfaces including floors, vertical walls and accessories. Micro-topping can turn just about any substrate into a new surface ready for innovative and exciting designs, at the fraction of the time and cost compared to removing the old surface and replacing it with a new product. New construction, where complex designs and color choices require multiple forms and pouring phases, can benefit from micro-topping's inexpensive and time-saving application methods. With tight deadlines and budget constraints often faced by architects and designers, micro-topping is the perfect solution.
Overlay Stamp
The Mirastamp system offers a cost effective solution for reviving and renovating existing projects. The system is used to achieve the same beauty and natural-looking appearance of the traditional “fresh pour stamp” without the need for the removal and replacement of the existing surface. This system offers numerous design options for vertical and horizontal applications.
In new construction, existing surfaces require minimal protection. Comparable to real stone, the Mirastamp system is an excellent system for elevation standards.
In remodeling applications, Mirastamp transforms old and/or damaged concrete into beautiful concrete at a fraction of the cost of removal or replacement of an existing surface. This product adheres to most adhesives and coatings, has excellent abrasion resistance and can be open to traffic quickly.
Troweled on at 3/8” thick, Mirastamp will bond to existing surfaces such as concrete or wood. Mirastamp allows for additional applications such as acid staining, texturing, and saw cuts with an unlimited range of colors.

Color Hardeners and Releases

Color hardeners are troweled into concrete to add color to stamped concrete or can be used to color grey concrete. Color releases are added right before stamping to add highlights and accented color to our stamped concrete. Hardeners and color releases can be mixed in different ratios, which gives the client hundreds of color choices. Reactive non Reactive Stains

Reactive stains (commonly called chemical or acid stain) can be applied to new as well as old concrete. The acid in these stains has metallic salts that react with the top 1/8” of lime in the concrete slab, producing a marbled color. ARS uses Kemiko and Texas Colorcrete reactive stains. Several factors affect the final outcome of coloration, including the design mix of concrete, a high amount of fly ash (commonly used to help prevent cracking), concrete finishes, age of the concrete and moisture content when the stain is applied. Once the stain is applied, ARS seals interior floors with an epoxy urethane system. This is preferrable to a solvent or water-based sealer because these products require a significant amount of maintenance. The expoxy urethane system used by ARS provides a clear, abrasion-resistant glaze that is tough and easy to clean and does not require waxing. The end result is a beautiful floor that requires very little maintenance.
Non-reactive stains or topical stains do not chemically react with the concrete like reactive stains. These stains can be used with a floor that has defects that the client wants hidden or when the concrete is troweled so lightly that reactive stains cannot penetrate the concrete. ARS's preferred product is MIRASTAIN II, this product can be pigmented with a full line of colors to achieve bolder hues not available with reactive stains. This provides a great option for interior as well as exterior applications.
Integral Color

ARS uses integral color by Construcolor. Integral color is a liquid pigment mixed into the concrete truck for use with stamped concrete and colored concrete applications. Integral color is a great way to add flare to your concrete when working with a budget. Review our color chart provided by Construcolor.
Epoxy/Urethane Coating
Granit Chip Systems

Granitex is ideally suited for patios, porches, balconies, pool decks, and even driveways. Granitex is extremely durable and ideal for areas that require slip-resistance, as it meets ADA requirements for non-slip surfaces.
Granite chip floors offer a seamless epoxy flooring system in which a composition of multi-colored vinyl chips are embedded into a colored pigmented base coat and then sealed with a urethane, polyurea, or polyaspartic top coat. The clear abrasion-resistant glaze coat is extremely durable and ideal for areas that require slip-resistance. This application is ideally suited for garages, patios, porches, balconies, pool decks or any place requiring a durable floor with a beautifully decorative appearance that is easy to clean and does not require waxing.
Quart Systems

In areas where coatings or sealers are not enough protection, a colored quart broadcast floor is a great option. This provides a durable, monolithic floor with high decorative value. The system can combine 40%, 50% or 100% solid epoxies and graded silica aggregate to achieve a high-density floor with outstanding resistance to impact and abrasion. The complete floor is approximately 1/16” to 1/8” thick depending on service conditions. The texture on quart floors can be varied from a smooth orange peel to an aggressively slip-resistant texture for wet areas. It is resistant to hydrocarbon greases, food greases and fats and a variety of other chemicals.
Top Coat Systems
A top coat system is a polymer-modified cement coating applied with a special paint gun. It sprays on so thin that the existing texture of the concrete is preserved. This product is not intended to change the existing surface of the concrete. The texture of the surface before the top coat is applied will be the same as after the product is applied. It is intended to resurface concrete that is stained, faded, or discolored so that it obtaines a "like-new" appearance. It is also used to resurface decorative stamped concrete that has faded or discolored over the years. The surface can be top coated and re-colored to provide the original color or a different color without changing the original pattern or texture. Top coating can also be used to provide a uniform colored cement surface prior to applying an acid stain.
Thin Mil Systems
Thin Mil systems offer a low-cost solution for large areas that need a durable finish, such as warehouses and large retail stores. Thin mil systems coat smooth floor surfaces to leave a highly reflective finish that elimiates concrete porosity, resulting in a highly durable, low-maintenance floor.
